1. What Spanish courses do you offer?
At Brentwood Spanish School, we offer a range of Spanish courses and learning experiences for adults and children.
Our programmes include:
General Spanish Courses for Adults: Structured courses running throughout the year, organised into terms of approximately three months. Classes are taught in small groups of 5–9 students, ensuring personalised attention and plenty of opportunities to practise.
Spanish Courses for Children: Fun, interactive and age-appropriate lessons combining language learning with games, songs and creative activities.
Spanish Conversation Classes: Interactive sessions designed to improve speaking skills, build confidence and develop fluency in everyday situations.
Spanish Book Club: A friendly environment to explore Spanish-language books, expand vocabulary and practise Spanish through guided discussions.
Private Spanish Tuition: Personalised one-to-one lessons for teenagers and adults, tailored to individual learning goals.
Spanish Immersion Experiences in Mallorca : One-week language immersion stays combining Spanish lessons, cultural experiences and accommodation in a teacher's home.
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your Spanish, we offer a welcoming and supportive environment to help you progress.
2. Are your classes available online and face-to-face?
Yes! We offer face-to-face group courses as well as online and in-person private tuition.
Our private lessons provide flexibility for teenagers and adults who prefer individual attention or need to focus on specific learning objectives.
3. What levels are available for adults and children?
Adults: We offer Spanish courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, subject to availability. Our courses follow a structured approach designed to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, with particular emphasis on practical communication.
Children: Our Spanish courses are designed for children from Reception to Year 6, with age-appropriate groups and engaging activities that encourage language development, confidence and participation.
If you are unsure which course is most suitable for you or your child, we will be happy to help you find the right group.
4. How long are the Spanish group courses?
Our group courses are organised on a termly basis, with each term typically consisting of 10–12 weekly lessons of one hour each.
Courses run throughout the academic year, and the exact dates and number of sessions are confirmed before enrolment.
5. How much do Spanish courses cost??
Our standard course fees are:
Group Courses
Adult Spanish Courses: £269 per term.
Children's Spanish Courses: £249 per term.
Each term typically includes 10–12 one-hour lessons.
Private One-to-One Lessons (Teenagers and Adults)
Online lessons: £30 per one-hour session.
Face-to-face lessons: £50 per one-hour session.
Fees for conversation classes, book clubs and specialist programmes may vary.
All applicable fees are confirmed before enrolment.
6. Do you offer Spanish courses for children?
Yes! Our children's Spanish courses are designed to make learning enjoyable, interactive and engaging.
Through games, songs, storytelling and creative activities, children develop vocabulary, communication skills and confidence in a friendly learning environment.
Children are placed in age-appropriate groups, subject to availability.
7. How many students are there in each group?
We believe that small groups create a more supportive and effective learning environment.
Our general Spanish courses for adults typically have between 5 and 9 students, allowing teachers to provide individual attention while encouraging interaction and conversation.
Children's group sizes may vary depending on age and course requirements.
8. Do you offer private Spanish lessons?
Yes! We offer personalised one-to-one Spanish tuition for teenagers and adults.
Private lessons are tailored to each student's level, learning pace and individual objectives.
Students can choose between online lessons (£30 per hour) and face-to-face lessons (£50 per hour).
9. Can I book a trial lesson?
Yes! We offer paid trial sessions for students interested in private tuition.
A trial lesson allows you to meet the teacher, experience our teaching approach and discuss your learning goals before committing to further lessons.
Trial sessions must be paid for in advance.
10. How are private lessons booked?
Following a trial session, regular private tuition is normally arranged through prepaid lesson packages.
Booking a package allows us to reserve a regular teaching slot and provide continuity in your learning.
A teaching slot is only guaranteed once the booking and payment have been confirmed.
11. What happens if I miss a lesson?
Group Courses
Group lessons follow a fixed timetable. If you are unable to attend, the missed lesson cannot normally be rescheduled, refunded or credited towards future classes.
Private One-to-One Lessons
We operate a 24-hour cancellation policy:
24 hours' notice or more: Your lesson can be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time, subject to teacher availability.
Less than 24 hours' notice: The lesson will normally be forfeited and charged in full.
Failure to attend: The lesson will be treated as a late cancellation.
Please notify us in writing if you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
These arrangements are subject to our Terms & Conditions and your statutory consumer rights.
12. What happens if Brentwood Spanish School cancels a lesson?
If we need to cancel a lesson due to teacher illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
We will arrange a suitable replacement lesson whenever possible. If we cannot provide the contracted lesson or an agreed alternative, an appropriate refund will be offered.
13. Are course materials included in the course fee?
Some learning resources and classroom activities are provided as part of our teaching.
Certain courses may require students to purchase a textbook or additional learning materials separately.
We will inform you of any compulsory materials and their costs before enrolment.
14. How do online lessons work?
Online lessons take place through a video-conferencing platform.
You will receive joining instructions before your lesson and can participate from home or another suitable location.
You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with a stable internet connection, microphone and camera.
15. How do I enrol in a Spanish course?
Enrolling is easy!
Simply contact us at brentwoodspanishschool@gmail.com and tell us which course you are interested in.
We will help you find the most suitable programme and provide information about availability, course dates, fees and payment arrangements.
Your place will be confirmed once your registration has been accepted and the required payment has been received.
16. When do I need to pay for my course?
All course fees are payable in advance.
Group Courses: Full payment is required before the start of each term, unless otherwise agreed.
Private Tuition: Trial lessons and lesson packages must be paid for in advance.
Advance payment secures your place and allows us to organise our teaching schedules.
17. Can I join a course after the term has started?
Depending on availability and your Spanish level, it may be possible to join an existing course after the term has begun.
Please contact us to discuss suitable options and the applicable fee.
18. Can I cancel my booking or request a refund?
Our group courses are booked on a termly basis, and full payment is required in advance to secure your place.
Once your booking has been confirmed, your place is reserved for the duration of the term.
If you choose to withdraw from a course or are unable to attend, you will not automatically be entitled to a refund, credit or transfer to another term.
Any cancellation request will be considered in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable UK consumer law. Where cancellation charges apply, we reserve the right to retain amounts reasonably necessary to cover our losses, including reserved teaching capacity and places that cannot reasonably be filled.
Any statutory cancellation rights that apply to your booking will be respected.
If Brentwood Spanish School cancels a course or fails to provide the contracted lessons, an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement will be offered.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

19. Do you offer Spanish conversation classes?
Yes! Our Spanish conversation classes are designed to help students improve their speaking skills, develop fluency and gain confidence in real-life situations.
Sessions focus on practical topics and encourage active participation in a relaxed and supportive environment.
20. What is the Spanish Book Club?
Our Spanish Book Club offers students the opportunity to practise Spanish through reading and discussion.
Participants explore Spanish-language books, expand their vocabulary and share ideas in a friendly and engaging setting.
It is a great way to develop language skills while discovering Spanish literature and culture.
21. Do you offer Spanish immersion experiences abroad?
We are developing exciting one-week Spanish immersion experiences in Mallorca, Spain.
These experiences will combine language learning, cultural activities and accommodation in a teacher's home, offering students the opportunity to practise Spanish in an authentic environment.
